How to Use the Battery Hydrometer

1. Make sure the battery is a serviceable flooded lead-acid battery with accessible electrolyte.
2. Carefully open the battery cell cap.
3. Squeeze the hydrometer bulb and insert the tip into the electrolyte.
4. Slowly release the bulb to draw enough electrolyte into the hydrometer so the internal float can move freely.
5. Hold the hydrometer upright and read the specific gravity value at eye level.
6. Test individual cells as required and compare their readings.
7. After testing, carefully return the electrolyte and clean the hydrometer appropriately.

Suitable for Flooded Lead-Acid Batteries

This battery hydrometer is not limited to automotive use. It can be used for different applications that use compatible flooded lead-acid batteries, including UPS and inverter batteries, automotive batteries and other serviceable lead-acid battery systems.

Important: This tester requires direct access to the liquid electrolyte and is therefore not suitable for sealed or maintenance-free batteries where the electrolyte cannot be accessed.
